Asamai Hindu Temple & Community Center is the an assumed name of Afghan Hindu Association, Inc, a tax-exempt not-for-profit New York corporation of approximately 2000 families who are Hindu and Sikh minorities from Afghanistan and now settled in the US. Through our New York locations in Hicksville and Flushing, the organization seeks to preserve and promote the rich tradition and culture of the Afghan-Hindu's and preserve the Hindu religion by providing its members and broader Hindu community a place to congregate and worship, providing guidance and assistance, establishing and promoting charitable activities, and conducting other activities as necessary and appropriate.
