Description
The Arts Council is a non-profit arts organization with a mission to build community through the arts. We offer classes in visual and perfoming arts for children and adults, and present exhibitions, concerts, films, lectures and poetry readings in our landmark Michael Graves-designed building, The Paul Robeson Center for the Arts. We also serve the community with after-school programming for at-risk youth and a variety of free family events including the Communiversity Festival of the Arts each spring, outdoor concerts in the summer, and arts-related events to celebrate Halloween, the Day of the Dead, Black History Month and Cinco de Mayo.
