Arts. Community. Land. Activism! (ACLA) is a public art and land collective dedicated to working with residents of underserved Los Angeles neighborhoods to transform fallow urban land into dynamic neighborhood ArtParks. The ArtParks serve as art education, creation, and transformation centers for youth and their families while bringing community pride, cultural awareness, and civic engagement through collaborative seasonal multi-cultural celebrations, life skills training, mentoring, and youth development opportunities. Since 1993, ACLA's programs directly affect precedents that guide public policy on community-based arts and green space development in urban areas.
