Description

Art Expression Inc. collaborates with schools districts, homeless shelters, community centers, and military organizations, to deliver social-skills programming to children and families. The mission of Art Expression, Inc is to facilitate positive socialization with children and adolescents through expressive art activities in an inclusive educational environment. Art Expression Inc. does not conduct art therapy. However, certain components and themes of art therapy are used to create positive outcomes for students.

Currently, Art Expression Inc. facilitates programming in the following schools/organizations: Mt. Lebanon School District, Keystone Oaks School District, South Allegheny School District, Greene County School District, Operation: Military Kids, Homeless Children’s Education Fund, East End Community Center.

Typically, within the school setting, Art Expression Inc. programming is offered in several 6-week sessions. Workshops, day-camps, and other services for non-school-district targets are scheduled as needed.

Art Expression Inc. also collaborates with local foundations, museums, and community-based organizations to strengthen the capacity of other professionals and organizations which work closely with children and families. Art Expression Inc. provides Professional Development to school staff, military organizations, leaders of community organizations, conference attendees, and individuals.

All of Art Expression Inc.’s work is not-for-profit.
