Description
Art & Creativity for Healing Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, was formally incorporated in November of 2000. Our organization has served more than 12,500 individuals and partnered with 30 other nonprofit agencies.
Our mission is to offer Art & Creativity for Healing painting classes and workshops free of charge to children, teens and adults suffering from abuse, illness, grief or stress. Our programs are designed to work in conjunction with other therapeutic models including traditional talk therapy. Our methods allow participants to learn a new way of communicating through color that encourages emotional breakthroughs and further enhances the therapy process. Unlike other art programs that employ a loose format of free expression, our curriculum contains strictly guided exercises designed to elicit emotional responses.
