Arkansas Writers in the Schools

WITS, now in its 32nd year, is staffed by graduate students in Programs in Creative Writing at the University of Arkansas. These graduate students are among the finest young teachers and writers in the country; their goal as WITS staff is to encourage and guide Arkansas students as they explore their imaginations and transform their natural creativity into poetry and fiction. The program was founded by James Whitehead, a co-founder of the school's prestigious Programs in Creative Writing.
