Description

The Arizona Sonora Desert Museum was founded in 1952 with the mission to inspire people to live in harmony with the natural world by fostering love, appreciation and understanding of the Sonoran Desert. A natural history museum, art institute, zoo, botanical garden and aquarium compose Southern Arizona's most popular attraction. The musuems conservationa and education department touches 45,000 school children and countless adults through programs and projects throughout the year
