Description
This organization was developed after the death of Anthony E. Benvin, III, who was killed tragically in a plane crash in 1998. He had been a hard worker all of his life and being killed in his senior year of high school, never had the opportunity to go to college, or even his senior prom.
Every year at the awards ceremony for Pittsburgh's Creative and Performing Arts High School (where he went to school as an instrumental major and played the violin) this organization gives out scholarships to those students who work hard, often with little recognition, or overcome difficult circumstances. The aim of the scholarships is to assist them in the achievement of their goals for higher education.
