Description
Located in Jackson, Mississippi, this non profit organization, the brainchild of Elizabeth Jackson, came into being after Hurricane Katrina devastated the Mississippi gulf coast. Elizabeth began by taking in homeless animals from the Gulf Coast and surrounding counties and placing them in shelters, vets and foster care homes.
These animals were left by their owners when they evacuated from the Hurricane. Dogs were found floating in garbage bins, wandering around , starving to death or being run over. It was more than Elizabeth could bear and she decided, on her own, that something, anything, must be done.
The Animal Rescue Fund is one of many organizations who came (and are still coming) to the rescue of homeless and abandoned animals.
Volunteers and donations are gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.
