Animal Protective League of Springfield

The Animal Protective League (APL) of Springfield and Sangamon County is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to caring for stray and injured animals, and to coordinating adoptions of homeless animals by responsible pet owners. It also works to educate people about the humane care of and respect for animals, and operates a low-cost spay/neuter program. APL is a no-kill shelter. APL is funded solely by donations. It exists because of the love and dedication of people who care about innocent animals who cannot help themselves.
