The Animal Defense League of Arizona is a statewide animal protection organization, whose mission is to protect and defend Arizona's animals. Dedicated to education, advocacy and reform, the Animal Defense League of Arizona works at the state level and in local communities to empower Arizona's citizens to participate in creating meaningful policy and social changes for animals and to make compassionate lifestyle choices. The Animal Defense League of Arizona and its predecessor organizations have worked for more than two decades to protect companion animals, wildlife, animals in laboratories, animals in entertainment, and farm animals. The Animal Defense League of Arizona is a product of the merger between Phoenix-based Concerned Arizonans for Animal Rights and Ethics and Tucson-based Voices for Animals, and it now has members throughout the state. The Animal Defense League of Arizona will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2007.
