The mission of Angkor Dance Troupe is to preserve the art of Cambodian classical and folk dance for Cambodians living in the diaspora and to provide a safe, healthy place during out of school time for children 5-18 years old. 60-80 students participate in the program. Students learn the dance forms and appear in public performances to great acclaim. Most students remain with the Troupe for seven years or more. Many graduates of the Troupe remain involved is assisting with teaching, costuming and serving as role models for the younger students. Troupe students are highly regarded in their schools and in their community for their achievements.
