Description
Since 1987, Anaheim Interfaith Shelter/Halcyon has been serving homeless families with children in our nine month transitional housing program. Through weekly case management services focusing heavily on debt repayment, savings and budgeting classes, these working parents are able to focus on regaining permanent housing and stability for their family. Supportive services include an on-site food pantry, a private, furnished apartment for each family, transportation assistance and access to mental health services, parenting classes and vocational training opportunities. In addition, childcare services are provided free of charge at our licensed childcare facility, the Halcyon Child Development Center. Located just four blocks from our shelter facility, the center is now a daily support system for not only the families of our shelter but for the extremely low-income children of our neighborhood as well.
