Description

Through writing, change happens.... Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) provides opportunities for creative expression to those with the least voice in our society. Through AWA outreach and training programs, we offer creative writing groups to low income women, prisoners, people dealing with disability and loss, parenting teens and many others. Through our intensive leadership training program, we train others to lead such groups as well. Finally, AWA publishes Peregrine, an annual literary magazine dedicated to publishing the best multi-cultural and multi-class voices.
