Description
Since 1968 The American Women for International has worked to promote well being of women and men around the world. The programs include Delegations to other countries for in country learning, International education at 9 chapters in the United States, Grants to outstanding women for study in the US and an event each year to honor the International Women of Courage. They have done 48 delegations with 83 country visits to 52 countries. They had the first delegation of women to a country 4 times from 1968 to 1969 with delegations to Russia in 1968, China in 1973, Saudi Arabia in 2002 and Libya in 2009.
