American Wildlife Refuge

about

The American Wildlife Refuge is a non-profit organization which rehabilitates injured birds of prey (owls, hawks, falcons, eagles, vultures) and releases them back into the wild once their injuries are healed. If their injuries are of a permanent nature such that they would not be able to survive on their own in the wild, then they become permanent education birds which the refuge takes to local schools, libraries, day camps, etc. to teach the public about these birds and how important they are to the balance of nature.
