Description
The American Vaulting Association (AVA) was founded in 1969 as an educational corporation to support and promote the international sport of equestrian vaulting, the art of gymnastics in harmony with the moving horse. The AVA is a national organization, which regulates competition in cooperation with the USA Equestrian (formerly AHSA) and International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The AVA provides membership services and support to individuals and vaulting clubs. The AVA promotes leadership in its athletes, the protection of horses, and advocates equestrian safety. Vaulting develops horsemanship, music appreciation, and performance skill. The AVA recognizes the benefits of vaulting to riders in many disciplines.
