The Alliance is dedicated to the prevention and control of lung disease through education, training, direct services, research funding and advocacy. The organization was founded in 1904 and today it is the premier lung health organization serving western Pennsylvania with programs such as camps for children with asthma, a cruise for adults on oxygen and smoking cessation programs.
