Description

The American Red Cross - Southside Area Chapter received its charter on April 30, 1917. The mission of the SAC is to educate and equip people with the skills to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies in their homes and communities. We envision communities where every citizen is safe, healthy and ready to respond in times of emergency. SAC provides six critical services to the community Disaster Services, Biomedical Services, (blood donors and availablity of blood supply) Health and Safety Services (CPR and First Aid) Military Services (emergency communications to military families) Community Services (humanitarian services that help our community become safer) and Youth Services (provide young people with meaningful opportunites for education and training).
