The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The Red Cross assists people after disasters like tornadoes, hurricanes, and storms. Central Louisiana’s most common disasters are home fires. The Central Louisiana Red Cross offers training in CPR, First Aid, AED, Swimming & Water Safety, Pet First Aid, Baby Sitting, Workplace Standard First Aid throughout Central Louisiana The Central Louisiana Red Cross is a volunteer led organization with a little over 300 registered and trained volunteers. The Central Louisiana Red Cross is a non-government agency and is NOT governmentally funded. All disaster relief is provided free of charge by the donations of the American people.
