A humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Our mission can only be accomplished through financial and in-kind donations from individuals, corporations, businesses and foundations. The American Red Cross receivesd no government funding.
