Description
Connecticut based 501 C 3 public charity that promotes collaborative programs for students in Kenya and the US, establishes school and community libraries, collects and ships medical supplies to the rural hospitals and clinics and takes teams of volunteers to work in Kenya during the summer. All books are donated as are the medical supplies, school supplies and computers that are sent to Kenya. In summer 2006 AFK is taking 34 educational and medical professionals to work in the hospitals, schools and libraries of Kenya with another 34 going in 2007. We supply textbooks to 150 schools in the rural areas of Kenya. Our entire is made up of volunteers.
