Amarillo Potter Randall Law Enforcement Benefit Fund - APRLEBF

The APRLEBF was established in January of 2002 as a non-profit, non-union and non-political tax-exempt organization consisting of totally volunteer law enforcement officers and civilians. The Texas Secretary of State recognizes the APRLEBF as a non-profit corporation. The Internal Revenue Service has determined the APRLEBF is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization donations to which are tax deductible. A Board of Directors consisting of 4 members from each of the Amarillo Police Department, Potter County Sheriff’s Office, Randall County Sheriff’s Office and 2 from the Canyon Police Department plus 3 community members direct the Benefit Fund. Benefits may be paid to any employee of the four law enforcement departments, whether sworn officer or civilian, and their immediate families that live within the home who are in financial need due to a major medical illness or other catastrophic event that has occurred.
