Description
ACBC raises money to help burn survivors and their families by collecting and selling empty aluminum cans back to the aluminum industry for recycling. The money raised through ACBC helps pay for patient care needs not covered by insurance, such as special protective clothing for burn victims; non-medical items such as pets and toys lost in a home fire; bikes that help children excercise their injured bodies; transportation to outpatient treatment, and more. ACBC also sponsors annual social events for child and adult burn survivors (such as burn camps, retreats, a Christmas party, etc, as well as training and support for firefighters and educational programs.
