Description

WHO ARE WE?
ABOB has been promoting and supporting the band and orchestra programs within the Alton School System for over 50 years. In 2003, the Alton Band and Orchestra Builders was recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education for commitment and service to education in Illinois, a prestigious recognition of the importance of time, talent, and financial support our community provides. We are a 501c non-for-profit organization committed to the promotion of the entire band and orchestra program, from elementary to middle school to the award winning band and orchestra programs at Alton High School.


WHAT DO WE DO?
ABOB raises money for the purchase of instruments, equipment and student fees not included within the District 11 budget. We pay all music students’ extracurricular fees, high school uniform maintenance fees, middle school jazz band and lab choir fees, instrument repair and replace outdated band and orchestra instruments.
