Description
Since 1962, the Alston Wilkes Society has been helping offenders, former offenders, the homeless, at risk youth, homeless veterans, and their families rebuild their lives one step at a time. We provide both residential and nonresidential assistance and counseling, as well as assistance with food, shelter, job placement, family reintegration, and educational workshops. We train and license therapeutic foster care families, have an alternative school, and a residential facility for high risk teen males. AWS also maintains 4 Residential Reentry Centers (aka halfway houses) for Federal offenders and the Alston Wilkes Veterans Home.
