Description
The Alliance for International Reforestation, is a non-profit educational & environmental organization based at Stetson University in Florida and working in Guatemala. AIR trains poor farmers in that nation in Sustainable Agriculture methods in their own fields, and has benefitted farmers in over 70 villages. In addition, AIR establishes tree nurseries, builds fuel-efficient brick stoves, sponsors rural teenagers with scholarships, provides school curriculum and programs on the environment, and hosts dozens of US and European student volunteers.
