AANMA is the leading nonprofit organization serving families affected by allergies, asthma, chronic obstructive airway disease and related conditions. Our members use our information and services to overcome symptoms and live better. Founded in 1985, AANMA's more than twenty years experience helping families breathe easier is demonstrated through Allergy & Asthma Today quarterly magazine, The MA Report newsletter, e-mail bulletins, AANMA Helpline and community outreach programs. Recent advocacy efforts include: federal law to protect students whose medical treatment plan includes carrying and using asthma and anaphylaxis medications at school; FDA requiring new metered dose inhalers to have dose counters; transitioning patients to non-ozone depleting inhalers; working with lawmakers and federal agencies to protect the health needs of patients during pandemic flu; and protecting the safety and integrity of our nebulizer medications from fraud.
Membership is $35.00 a year.
