Allegro Foundation...a Champion for Children with Disabilities combines movement instruction with medical and educational expertise to create a new vehicle to teach children with disabilities and enhance their quality of life.
The children we serve are individuals with mental retardation, Down syndrome, orthopedic challenges (wheelchairs and walkers), cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, children with learning disabilities, hearing and visual impairments, children at-risk and children with cancer.
Our basic philosophy emphasizes the total learning process combining cognitive and muscle memory together to stimulate sequential and conceptual learning, problem-solving skills and communication, increasing physical coordinator/motor skills, as well as producing emotional and physiological changes in the body.
