Description
Albany Damien Center provides programs that help individuals and families living with and affected by HIV/AIDS increase their health and quality of life in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.
Program Areas include:
AIDS Community Center - providing support, counseling, information and skill building groups, holistic healing, and other services.
PAWS (Pets are Wonderful Support) ensuring that pets and their owners living with HIV are never seperated from each other, especially when they need each other the most.
Smart Meals - serving 20,000 nutritious meals per year in a comfortable, congregate meal setting. Providing nutrition education specific to individuals living with HIV.
Treasure Chest - a thrift store providing items for our members in need, plus income for programs.
