Alana's Flu Foundation was started in 2009 by Alana's family in her memory. The original mission was "to educate the public about the importance of yearly influenza (flu) vaccinations and in doing so, increase the annual vaccination rates by providing convenient and affordable options for immunization." Since that time, based on
our family's healing process, we realized the need to reach a broader audience that includes all families that have experienced the loss of a child due to any cause or condition. Thus, the evolution to Alana's Foundation.
The mission of Alana's Foundation is to guide grieving families who have experienced the tragic loss of a child with compassionate care throughout their healing process. We are focused on providing resources for emotional counseling, short term financial support, and assistance in fulfilling basic day to day needs
