Description

Rugby Alabama was created in order to help encourage teamwork, develop discipline and improve youth physical fitness in Alabama by encouraging participation in rugby union.

In order to achieve this end, Rugby Alabama actively promotes the sport of rugby from the high school level down in both the local club and educational systems.

Rugby Alabama's primary functions include:

* Managing playing leagues
* Assisting in the creation of new teams for all age groups and genders
* Promoting Rookie Rugby (non-contact rugby) for small children and players uninterested in full contact rugby
* Providing resource assistance (coaching, equipment, education, etc.) where possible for all teams
