Air Force Village opened in 1970 with a service mission: to provide excellent retirement living with access to continuing health care for retired military officers and their spouses - and to give priority to retired Air Force officer widows in need of financial assistance.
AFV continues to fulfill that mission today, helping widows who have lovingly, patiently and patriotically served alongside their husbands. And through gifts to the Air Force Villages Charitable Foundation, we are able to help widows and honor all residents - creating a quality environment that accomplishes and transcends the original mission.
