Description
AIRS provides affordable housing and supportive services for low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Having grown from a simple grassroots organization operating a five-bed facility, AIRS has grown to own eight multi-family buildings in Baltimore City and Baltimore County and one single family home. AIRS also leases more than 110 apartments and houses throughout Baltimore city.
Our belief is that housing is healthcare. The safe, decent, affordable housing that AIRS provides helps others to live their best life, and responsibly manage their health status. The social return is that AIRS residents contribute to the workforce, economy, and community as a result.
AIRS recent initiatives include serving the Spanish-speaking community and developing additional buildings with resident-ready rental units.
