This non-profit organization is reaching its 20th anniversary and has helped hundreds of kids in Southeast Asia. Founded in 1988 to aid refugee children, the organization has expanded its programs to aid children stricken with poverty and diseases. ACWP strives to help the children of Southeast Asia, one kid at a time. Not only that, their philosophy is to promote self-sufficiency.
The great thing about ACWP is that 100% of all donations go straight to the hands of kids in need. Many organizations concentrate their efforts in Southeast Asia, but none are as efficient as ACWP in actually aiding the people in this region. While other organizations may give the money to a middle-man, ACWP puts the money directly in the hands of the children. Further, the corrdinators and volunteers pay for all the transportation fees, publication fees, printing costs, etc. No one gets to use the donations except for the kids ACWP helps.
