Ahali Elephants (Tax ID# 43-1916863) is the first nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer powered organization working exclusively to identify, monitor and assist captive elephants living alone or in inadequate conditions in North America. By facilitating their relocation and long-term care at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, a natural habitat refuge on 2,700 acres, we make it possible for elephants to once again walk the earth with dignity.
Our current elephant campaign, Free Flora, is focused on Flora, a 24 year old African elephant that we rescued from a circus and relocated to The Elephant Sanctuary.
Donations go directly to Flora’s Endowment Fund, to insure Flora’s residency at The Elephant Sanctuary and to provide for Flora and her needs for the rest of her life.
The Elephant Sanctuary requires a minimum endowment of $200,000 to generate sufficient yearly income to provide for Flora for the rest of her life. To date, we have raised nearly $100,000.
