Description
It was in 1983 that Dr. Jose E. Hernandez was presented with a mission that was greater than he could alone fulfill.Twenty-five years later, that mission has taken form as the Agape Network including: South Florida Jail Ministries and AGAPE Family Ministries, a comprehensive community health center.
Agape’s name offers a summary of its founding, derived from Greek. It translates to “UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.” It is one of the first Faith-Based Substance Abuse, Mental Health Residential Treatment Facilities, and Community Health Centers in Miami. The incorporation of spiritual health into the healing process is what separates AGAPE from other organizations.
Expanding its services beyond its residential facility; today, the AGAPE Network is a comprehensive integrated health care system that treats the whole person and family.
