The African American Council on Liver Awareness (AACLA), is a non-profit, national organization established in 2007, created to address the increasing number of viral hepatitis infections within African American communities. Bringing together providers from the fields of medicine, healthcare, social work, and most importantly, community and Christian organizations, the council serves as a clearinghouse of information pertaining to liver disease in the African American community.
