Description
The Afghanistan Orphanage Project (TAO Project) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created by veterans of the Utah Army National Guard, seeking a way to make a difference in a country ravaged by years of war and destruction. Our goal is to build the one of the largest orphanages in Afghanistan - "The Khalakhan Orphanage" - to provide a safe home and beginning education to 1,000 orphans. With your help we can bring new hope to these children, and new hope to Afghanistan.
This is an immense challenge, but after spending a year in Afghanistan, and seeing how much they need our help, we are committed to this cause. The plight of children in Afghanistan is particularly grim - the country has an astounding 2 million orphans, most of whom live on the streets. With your help we can begin to give these children a better life.
Helping children is one of the best ways to ensure a brighter and more peaceful future for our world.
