Description

ADVOCATES’ mission is to end domestic and sexual violence in the Grand County Community. To accomplish this mission, ADVOCATES provides extensive victim support services, information, prevention education and community awareness.
Our direct services include, but are not limited to: a 24-hour confidential crisis line, temporary safe housing, emergency support services, courtroom advocacy, assistance in filing restraining orders, assistance in obtaining affordable legal services, safety planning, referrals for: long-term counseling/support groups, relevant community services, and long term shelter. ADVOCATES’ indirect services include: extensive violence prevention programs in the county’s schools and to seasonal workers, outreach efforts to increase public awareness, and collaborative networking and training with other county professionals to enhance the overall countywide response to domestic violence and sexual assault.
