Description

Doesn’t Everyone Deserve An Education?

It is unfortunately that many talented young students chose not to go to college because lack of information, support and financial means. In today’s world, there are several sources of financial aid and information. However, these resources do not reach disadvantaged students and with your help, we can reach these bright, willing and capable youngsters to reach their education dreams.

The Advocacy Group (TAG) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving Connecticut and New York families. We focused on helping low to moderate income families become more financially knowledgeable. Among the areas we helped families with includes housing, home ownership, importance of credit, retirement planning, career management, entrepreneurship and college education. TAG counts on countless volunteers from various education levels to help reach young, talented and motivated college bound students.

TAG seeks funding to expand an education training program that will prepare teens and parents, especially those living in low-to moderate income households, apply for FAFSA for entry into a two-year or four-year college. TAG will outreach, assess, educate and assist individuals in applying for FAFSA. In addition, the individuals will receive additional support to promote a college education and ensure a successful college career. The proposed program will reach an anticipated 4,500 participants.
