Adults Active in Youth Development (AAYD, pronounced “aid”) was founded to aid families, communities and various cultures with the overall educational enhancement and societal development of our youth and their futures. AAYD has a purpose, which includes providing positive options that focuses on attempting to do 2 things: 1. enhance and increase the chances for future success of our youths, and 2. work to impact the lives of youths to reduce the risk of drop out, delinquency, unemployability, incarceration, and poverty. AAYD has 3 major program objectives that are titled: 1. Project Heads Up, 2. Urban Arts Project, and 3. Youthpreneurship. We also have community outreach services that include various positive and uplifting activities: 1. In-School Mentoring and Tutoring, 2. Field Trips and College Tours (4/2 yr. or technical/trade), 3. Youth Events (dances, picnics, educational rallies), 4. Financial Aid Search Assistance, and 5. Youth Olympics.
