Description
ASD was officially launched on Earth Day 1999. ASD’s simple proposition; the world, this country and our region are crying out for social change and only grassroots activism will create the groundswell to bring lasting social justice. Engagement at the local level will not happen without a conduit to provide information about when, where and what groups are organizing.
ASD set out in 1999 to be an information, communications and mobilization hub in the border region. But now 10 years later ASD is only a 10th of what we should be and a 1000th of what we will need to be. Yet we have much to be proud of.
