ACHIEVA, formerly Arc Allegheny, was founded in 1951 by parents who wanted their children with intellectual disabilities to have access to the programs and educational opportunities available to other children. Since that time, ACHIEVA has grown to become the leading agency in western Pennsylvania providing a lifetime of supports and services to children and adults with disabilities and their families.

This year ACHIEVA will serve approximately 14,500 individuals with disabilities and their families.
