Description
The Urban Assembly Academy of Business and Community Development (ABCD), an all-boys public school, develops young men as urban leaders by preparing them for success in college, advanced studies, and professional careers. According to the report from The American Education Research Association in fall 2004, programs that have been effective in reducing the achievement gap between minority boys and their white counterparts share two common threads: a demanding curriculum and a strong social support system that values and promotes academic achievement. ABCD strives to meet the individual needs of our boys both academically and socially. Through the lens of business, economics and community service, our school will provide students with the rigorous education, meaningful professional connections, and personal motivation necessary to succeed in college and beyond.
