Abraham Lincoln Magnet High School


Established in 1999, Lincoln Magnet High School is a school within a school with a maximum of 180 students in four different grade levels. It is located on the campus of Lincoln High School in Lincoln Heights just Northeast of Downtown Los Angeles. Magnet offers opportunities for students of all ethnic and acadamic backgrounds to participate in a college-preparatory program which places strong emphasis on math, science and technology. Students in the Magnet are expected to participate in off-campus field courses, take four years of both math and science, and technology electives. Students will develop their knowdledge and understanding through group learning as well as through individual effort, community services, and a culminating research project during their senior year.
