Description
The mission of the ARISE Literacy Program is to reduce the lack of English language skills among immigrants, promote community movement/building within colonia communities and the cities in which they reside, increase the number of immigrants actively pursuing U.S.A. citizenship and becoming contributing members of American society, decrease the marginalization of immigrants living in colonia communities, create safe, secure, family friendly environments for immigrants living in colonia communities, and emphasize the importance of immigrants energetically becoming the leaders of their own realities and struggles as immigrants in the U.S.A.
