Description

A Place of Refuge Ministries provides help for women facing crisis pregnancy. Advocates help women and children with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Women are referred to existing organizations for help and additional resources are supplied by individuals and churches of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. For pregnant women and their children who find themselves in need of shelter, we provide Refuge House. Women, and up to 2 children can stay at Refuge House, free of charge, throughout their pregnancy and up to nine months beyond. At Refuge House they receive even more intensive help...to find a job, save for their future, finish their education but even more important...to live in a loving, nurturing environment where they can experience God's love and learn to love themselves and their children. Women also recieve counseling to help them with their decision whether to parent their baby or make a loving adoption plan for their baby.
