Description
A Brighter Tomorrow for Africa Foundation (BTA) was created in 2005 to support programs for women and children
of Sierra Leone, West Africa - a country at the bottom of the Human Development Index according to the United Nations. BTA founder Sarah Armstrong chose to work with community-based organizations because the help provided goes directly to the people who need it. Over 20 organizations were initially interviewed by Ms. Armstrong in Sierra Leone and 5 were selected because she knew that - by working with these organizations - she could have the most immediate impact on the health and future of the country. Information about the organizations can be found on our website as well as reports on the progress we have made. (www.brighterafrica.org).
