Description
A vibrant nonprofit writing center for young people, 826michigan was launched in the summer of 2005 and is a chapter of the ever-inspiring 826 Valencia in San Francisco. Founded by writer Dave Eggers, 826 organizations are dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. We believe that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success. We offer after school tutoring, creative writing workshops, student publishing and more. All of our programs are totally free of charge.
